Very recently, Philippine Airlines (PAL) relaunched its flight services between Clark and Siargo in 2024 to promote their motu to expand its Clark hub, the flag carrier informed.
PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent L. Ang said in a statement:
"We are excited to be able to fly and welcome leisure travelers back to Siargao via Clark once again."
Based on PAL, all the services are set to continue from December 3, 2024, with flights scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, as well as Saturday via the 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft with direct service for passengers in Central Luzon and Northern Luzon to Siargao.
As per the Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp, resuming these services will boost connectivity.
The LIPAD (A company that operates and manages Clark International Airport) President and Chief Executive Officer Noel F. Manankil said:
"Siargo enthusiasts can anticipate beginning their island gateway immediately upon arrival at Clark International Airport, where we practice stringent performance measures and monitoring to ensure fast airport processes and a seamless experience for all passengers."
Based on reports, all the services or the Clark-Siargo flights will be prioritized from the Clark International Airport to Cebu, four weekly flights to Basco and Busuanga, and thrice weekly lights to Caticlan.
The flights will depart Clark at 11 A.m. and arrive in Siargao at 1:05 p.m., whereas the other flights are scheduled to depart at 1:35 p.m. in Siargao and arrive in Clark at 3:40 p.m.
The PAL Express president, Rabbi Vincent, said, "As Siargao's popularity soars, we stay committed to supporting the island's tourism growth in a sustainable way for the benefit of its residents and local businesses while providing an enhanced flying experience for our passengers."
Siargao is often known for its pristine beaches, white sand islets, prominent pools, and lagoons, and you can perform other activities there. Thus, with the growing demand to visit SIARGAO, PAL has resumed all its operations so fliers can fly.
The PAL operational agency, PAL Holdings INC., posted a 92% growth in its 2023 bottom line to $379 million from $197 million in the previous year, which led to a higher number of passengers for both International as well as domestic flights. Ng said that the agency may sign a temporary lease agreement for two wide-body aircraft in this year.
