Eva Air Extra Baggage Fees: What You Need to Know

Once you have scheduled the journey with Eva Air and the date of departure is coming near then you must have started to prepare for the flight. The preparation for the new journey includes a lot of things, such as collecting the needed documents, getting the details of the flight, and packing the luggage. When it comes to packing the luggage for the flight, you need to be informed accurately about how much luggage the airline allows you to bring to the flight journey, for which you have to go through the baggage policy. You should also be well known about the procedures and the charges you have to pay for the baggage. Once you have gathered details about the luggage, it will be easy for you to travel comfortably without any inconvenience.

Is EVA Air strict with baggage?

Eva Air has given proper instructions on the weight and size dimensions of the baggage. You need to strictly follow the baggage guidelines to travel with the airline. If the airline finds anything wrong with your bags or against its policies, then the luggage will be rejected at the time of check-in, and you may have to face a lot of troubles and inconveniences.

What is the baggage policy of Eva Air?

As we have discussed earlier, you need to be informed properly about the baggage allowance of the airline so you can easily go through the journey without any inconveniences. The policy for the luggage has been given below:

Checked Baggage: The checked luggage will be transported by the airline and will not remain with you in the cabin, so you can pack things that will not be required during the journey:

  • The weight of the bag should be 23 kg when traveling with Eva Airline and the maximum weight of the bag can be 32 kg.
  • You can bring a minimum of 1 piece of luggage to the flight when traveling in Economy Discount and Basic status.
  • The maximum piece of luggage you can bring to the journey is two when traveling in Royal Laurel and Premium Economy.
  • The airline wants you to bring the luggage in perfect condition. The bags should not be damaged or broken, or they will be rejected at the time of check-in.

Carry-On: This bag will remain with you in the cabin, so make sure the bag contains everything that may be needed during the journey:

  • The weight of the carry-on bag should not be more than 7 kg when you are bringing the bag to the flight.
  • The size dimension for the hand baggage needs to be within 23 × 36 × 56cm / 9 × 14 × 22in as the bag should be placed in the overhead cabin.
  • Make sure that the hand baggage is handier so you do not encounter any difficulties or issues and be able to manage it on the flight journey.

Personal Item: The airline allows you to have one personal item with the carry-on luggage on the flight journey. This item could be anything, but it should be easy to handle:

  • The personal items you can bring to the flight journey can be anything small and handy, such as a laptop, blanket, backpack, handbag, purse, camera, books, etc.
  • Baby cot, stroller, kennel, binoculars, small musical instruments such as guitar or violin, and baby bag are some other things that you are allowed to carry as a personal item.
  • Personal items need to be placed in front of the seat space given on the flight, or you can keep it in the lap.

Note: Any sharp objects such as syringes, knives, lighters, scissors, and needles are not allowed on the flight, along with harmful gases and liquids or explosions.
